Low-Carb Love began when a coworker complained that her boyfriend was getting a little too tubby in the tummy. She thought I'd have some sly tips to get him to work out more (without being obvious, of course). Sure, I wasn't a health expert… but as a love and sex editor (and relationship-a-holic), I could certainly dole out some dating advice. So I created a list of sneaky slim-down ideas and sent them back to her. The email made its way around the office, and soon after the Low-Carb Love idea was born. The concept was simple: We're all constantly striving to improve something, whether it's our bodies or our boyfriends. And in our post-Sex and the City society, girls aren't afraid of "too much." We want it all: the perfect guy, the perfect body… you get the idea. But how do you go for that big picture without getting burned? How do you stay happy and healthy, love wisely and well, have your cake and eat it, too? Well, that's what Low-Carb Love is all about. Go on that date, talk to that guy, and, for god's sake, eat that brownie! Life's too short not to indulge, so it's time to show your man (and his love handles) who's boss.
